Our Story

Maximal is founded by Sarvesh Gupta, SEBI registered investment adviser with registration #INA000007960. Sarvesh has been reading and practising the art of value of investing for over a decade. He has also spent the last seven years working across public equity and private equity firms doing only thing which he truly loves – equity investing.

Prior to Maximal, Sarvesh was the Portfolio Manager with Trivantage Capital, a SEBI registered PMS firm with registration #INP000004656 and assets under management and advice in excess of INR 1000 crores. At Trivantage, he managed multiple portfolios and generated returns in the range of 37 to 73% for high net-worth individuals as well as family offices & institutional capital.

Before Trivantage, Sarvesh was Principal with Gaja Capital, one of India’s best known private equity firm with AUM in excess of INR 1500 crores. At Gaja, he researched and invested in a variety of companies ranging from consumer to financial services to Infra/capital goods etc. He also identified several listed opportunities like Cera Sanitaryware which appreciated by more than ten times in the coming years.

Sarvesh finished his MBA from Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA), India’s best-known B-school. At IIMA, he was ranked amongst the top 6% of students in terms of academic performance. Prior to IIMA, he finished his engineering from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur (IIT KGP) where he was a silver medallist in his department.

Sarvesh is an avid reader and owes much of his success in investing to his diverse reading habit ranging from philosophy, psychology, strategy and on various styles of investing.
